The six business classes are excellent training, but they do not lead to a certificate. The test, the certificate and the verification page a parent can look up all sit inside the certification track — that is the part families actually check.

About the classes.
Can I buy just one class?
No, and it is deliberate. The six certification classes are sold as one course for $45, which works out at about $7.50 a class. Splitting them up would cost you more and leave gaps in exactly the places a family would ask about.
Which class should I read first?
Emergencies, without much hesitation. It is the one families ask about and the one that matters most at two in the morning. Price Yourself Properly is the one that pays for itself fastest.
If I buy the certification now, can I add the business classes later?
Yes. They are two separate courses and you can add the second one whenever you want. Buying both in one go costs $94. If you take the certification first, the business course drops to $49 once you own it — so both tracks come to $94 whichever order you buy in.
Do the business classes need the certification first?
No. They stand alone and work for any sitter. They do land harder once you have something to sell, which is why most sitters do the certification first and add the business track when they are ready to charge properly.
Does my access expire?
No. A course you have paid for stays yours, including every update we make to it — the class videos arrive in October and cost you nothing extra. The two-year expiry applies to the certificate, not to the training.
How does this compare to the Red Cross?
The Red Cross Babysitting Basics online course is also $45 and is the best-known name in the category. We wrote an honest side-by-side comparison — the short version is that theirs is a longer course, and ours gives parents a page they can actually check.
Are these classes in person?
No, everything is online and you work through it when it suits you. That is deliberate — in-person babysitting classes run on somebody else’s schedule and usually cost more than the whole certification here.
What if I am under 18?
That is fine, and most of our sitters are. Use a parent or guardian’s email at checkout so they know about it and can help if anything goes wrong.
