About the classes.
Can I really buy just one class?
Yes. If the only thing you want is the emergencies class, take the emergencies class for $12. You get the full video and everything in it. You just will not get the certificate, because that requires passing the test across all six certification classes.
Which single class should I take first?
Emergencies, without much hesitation. It is the one families ask about and the one that matters most at two in the morning. Price Yourself Properly is the one that pays for itself fastest.
If I buy classes one at a time, can I upgrade later?
Yes. Tell us what you have already taken when you apply and we take it off the price of the track. You never pay twice for the same class.
Do the business classes need the certification first?
No. They stand alone and work for any sitter. They do land harder once you have something to sell, which is why the business track is $49 rather than $79 if you add it after getting certified.
Do single classes expire?
No. A class you have paid for stays yours, including any updates we make to it. The two-year expiry applies to the certificate, not the training.
How does this compare to the Red Cross?
The Red Cross Babysitting Basics online course is also $45 and is the best-known name in the category. We wrote an honest side-by-side comparison — the short version is that theirs is a longer course, and ours gives parents a page they can actually check.
Are these classes in person?
No, everything is online video you watch when it suits you. That is deliberate — in-person babysitting classes run on somebody else’s schedule and usually cost more than the whole certification here.
What if I am under 18?
That is fine, and most of our sitters are. Apply with a parent or guardian’s email so they can approve it.
